This kind of thing is tragic and sad to read about. Would these ladies have made the same decisions had they been educated better? Would they have felt different about their bodies if mainstream pop-culture didn't impose certain "ideals" upon them? Or maybe if they had spoken with as many different people as possible?

Who can say?

But I can say that I hope more people will start speaking up so we can slow down the butchering of women's most beautiful bits.

I love large labia, and I think there are plenty of other people out there who feel the same as I do. I truly hope we can remove the taboo from this discussion and start saving some beautiful lips!

Make Me Heal - Labiaplasty Message Board Bans Men!

Today's blog update pertains to my post from Tuesday, September 4, 2007, regarding my correspondence with the administrator(s) of the Make Me Heal Labiaplasty / Vaginoplasty message board.

To date I have not gotten another reply from the "Make Me Heal Team" regarding my last email letter appealing to them that they lift my ban from the site, as well as point out to me how I was "abusing" the message board.

I was fairly convinced that Make Me Heal would not lift my ban, considering that they never even issued me a warning, or gave me a second chance. But I was not expecting that they would not reply to my letter. I thought my email and questions were very professional and reasonable.
The lack of response from the Make Me Heal team, shows to me that they really just don't have a leg to stand on. There was really no good reason that they could come up with for banning me, other than supposedly receiving "complaints" from other members.

Then, to add insult to injury, within the time since my brief correspondence with the Make Me Heal team, I discovered from a colleague that they decided to altogether ban men from their message board!

The notice below was recently posted on the Make Me Heal message board...

Does anyone else think that the above is tragically unfortunate? Does anyone have any thoughts on this? If so, I would be delighted to know what others think.

I wasn't going to bother ranting... But I changed my mind. Deep breath, and...

Here are my thoughts:
1 - The internet and a chat message board forum are not about privacy! (With the exception of privacy from close friends and family perhaps.)

2 - It seems to me like a few post-surgical women at the Make Me Heal message board just "got upset" and really pushed for the "no men" rule. The forum rules do not make any mention of
"no men" being allowed at their message board.

Furthermore, if the ladies there are so confident with the decision they made, (getting labiaplasty) then why did they get so defensive, when I did not even provoke, attack, threaten, offend or insult anyone at all?!

3 - There are women getting labiaplasty / labia reduction surgery for completely valid reasons. There are women getting labiaplasty / labia reduction surgery for not so very valid reasons (in my book), such as "shame" and "embarrassment." It does not seem like they want women to know this or have an intelligent, peaceful, adult-like discussion about this.

4 - The above notice from the Make Me Heal team should really serve as a red flag to women considering cosmetic surgery. I hope you will all consider the Make Me Heal tagline of "The One-Stop For All You Plastic Surgery & Anti-Aging Needs" as some good food for thought.

There. I feel better now that I've rant rant ranted. I have officially closed the book on this topic and I shall move on.

The question was: Do you like Lexxi Tyler better "before" labiaplasty, or "after" labiaplasty?
1 - A whopping 45 of you (95%) like Lexxi Tyler's labes "before" she chopped them off with labiaplasty / labia reduction surgery!
2 - Lexxi Tyler "after" she got labiaplasty / labia reduction surgery received 1 vote (2%).
3 - And we got 1 vote (2%) for "No Preference" for Lexxi Tyler's labia "before" or "after" her labiaplasty / labia reduction surgery.

Nobody voted for "Both" or "Neither" regarding Lexxi Tyler's labiaplasty / labia reduction surgery. So it is apparent that mostly everyone definitely had a preference regarding the appearance of Lexxi Tyler's vulva, whether before or after having labiaplasty / labia reduction surgery.

- I am very sorry to hear about the above; I do not feel that I did anything to offend anyone, so this comes as a bit of a surprise to me. To the best of my knowledge I did not flame, attack, insult anyone, or do anything illegal.

- My apologies. I was not aware that the above was solely the case. I think I was confused because the header in the message board forum says the following...

"These plastic surgery message boards are for all of us who want to talk, listen, share, help, and support fellow women and men interested in cosmetic surgery and non-surgical procedures."
The above board header did not lead me to believe that the message board is solely for use by those who have had procedures performed or are considering them. And, I am interested in cosmetic surgery.

"You are obviously misusing this board and we will not lift the ban on your account."
- This is troubling news. Has an admin read through any/all of my posts? If I am obviously misusing the board, could you kindly point out how I am doing so? I belong to other forums as well, and I haven't had this issue arise. I would genuinely like to know what I did wrong, other than generate several complaints.

I would like to make a last appeal to lift the ban on my account. If an admin reads my posts I think you would see that I am not misusing the board or causing any real need for complaints. I feel that the complaints are unjustified.

So there you have it. It looks like my efforts to save a woman or two from having her lovely bits chopped off has been squashed.. for now.

Earlier today I even replied to a young 22 year old woman who is considering labiaplasty because she is just "ashamed" and "embarrassed" about her private parts.

If anyone can do anything to help save this young woman from making a tragic mistake, I am certain she would be thankful later in her life, if not sooner.

I would like to utilize part of a post of mine from a forum I belong to. I thought this could serve as a springboard for an interesting case study regarding Labiaplasty / Labia Reduction surgery.

Welcome to my blog. This is my first post.

This blog will be dedicated to the open discussion about the love of large labia; inner labia specifically. My hope is to let people know that large labia are beautiful and there are plenty of men and women who agree with me.

I wish to educate and dispel any myths and misconceptions regarding labiaplasty, otherwise known as labia reduction surgery, which are currently a popular, and unfortunate trend.

As everyone knows, we all come in many shapes and sizes. Each of us beautiful in our individuality.

We live in a world that imposes so much on women to be "perfect" in all of the ways. Now it even comes down to the look of womens' vulvas, (labia/vaginal lips, etc.) Society drives women to do very much to their bodies. And now that even includes genital mutilation.

At the risk of being called a hypocrite, let me say here that I love women/vaginas/vulvas/labia of ALL shapes and sizes. However, I particularly like large pussy lips. What can I say? They just turn me on. And we all have our "hot button" so to speak, yes?

Oh, and I'm also not fond of breast augmentation. But that's for another blog. I just mean to say that I prefer a natural woman.

So it pains me to see a trend that drives so many women to mutilate their already perfect genitalia. For the record, I do completely understand that in some rare cases there is a real surgical need for such a procedure, whether because of pain, or otherwise. However, I think there is a bigger self-imposed motivator because of societal pressure to "fit in" and "be normal," and the advertising campaign of certain doctors who prey on the already existing, many insecurities society imposes on women.

The sad, and growing trend of labiaplasty and labia reduction surgery needs to be addressed. With that, please feel free to comment, whether male or female, on this topic.

I'm looking forward to some positive discourse, and to hopefully changing the negative world view of large inner labia to that of a positive view of large inner labia. Because to me, large inner labia are one of the ultimate beauties a woman can possess. Very sexy. Very erotic. Very womanly.
